Papas con choco (estilo gaditano)

El plato es típico de Huelva, donde lo hacen exquisito, pero yo os voy a contar la receta de Cádiz capital.

Ingredientes

Un choco limpio y cortado a tiras
patatas en trozos medianos
cebolla
ajo
tomate
pimiento
sal
laurel
agua
aceite de oliva
pimienta en grano
(vino blanco y azafrán) o (pimentón y orégano)
clavo

Modo de hacerlo

Sofrito de cebolla, ajo, tomate y pimiento. Agregar la pimienta y el vino. Incorporar los chocos al sofrito, junto con sal, agua, azafrán y un clavo.

Cuando estén tiernos los chocos, añadir las patatas y cocer diez minutos.

Se puede hacer sin azafrán y vino y entonces se le echará pimentón y orégano
